The Sharon Township Police Department services approximately
2,100 residents with about 850 homes, as well as about
60 businesses.
We
operate 24 hours a day 365 days a year. In addition to
our patrol duties we also provide services such as vacation
house checks.
The
Department currently employs 10 full-time Constables and
between 1 and 3 part-time Constables.
Below
is a generalized list of the activities we perform and
the yearly totals for both 2002 and 2003.

The Sharon Township Police Department currently has a
fleet of six patrol vehicles which consists of three Chevrolet
Impalas, two Ford Explorers, and a Ford Crown Victoria.
The Department is also equipped with Mobile Data Terminals
(MDT's). These MDT's allow our Department to provide better,
more efficient services to the residents of Sharon Township.
In addition to contracting with the City of Worthington
for Fire and EMS services, we also contract with them
for communications. With the help of the Worthington Police
Communication Center, we are able to provide timely, quality
services to our residents.
