The Sharon Township Memorial Hall is home to the offices of the Board of Trustees, the office of the Township Clerk, and the Police Department.

Sharon Township was established in 1806. It is comprised of various unincorporated areas of north central Franklin County and includes the Village of Riverlea and the city of Worthington. Sharon Township is home to approximately 2,100 residents, numerous businesses, and one school.

Sharon Township is governed by three trustees. The trustees meet twice a month at the Sharon Township Memorial Hall, located at 137 E. Dublin Granville Rd. in Worthington. These meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of every month.

The Sharon Township Police Department, directed by Chief Donald Schwind operates 24 hours a day and employs 9 full-time Constables and between 1 and 5 part-time Constables, as well as 2 part- time civilian Administrative Assistants.


Last year, we were able to purchase two Ford Explorers (pictured right). The acquisition of these vehicles will greatly increase our ability to respond in inclement weather and provide us with more space and resources for future needs
