t is the vision of Preservation Parks to develop a system of parks throughout the county, consisting of at least one natural area, regional park in each quadrant of the county.

A minimum amount of development will be undertaken in order to keep these selected sites as natural as possible, in keeping with our mission of providing only passive recreational activities, such as hiking, biking, and picnicking. By definition, active sports areas, such as athletic fields, will not be developed.

Each of the preserves and parks will be open to the public to a degree which will protect the integrity of the site and offer the greatest educational opportunity possible. Appropriate staff will be employed to properly maintain and protect the preserves and to provide interpretation of their natural resources for the public.

To the best of the ability of The Preservation Park District of Delaware County, Ohio, depending upon land availability and costs involved, these parks will be situated so that every resident of the county will be no more than 30 minutes travel time from at least one park.
